PESHAWAR: The Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Justice Qaiser Rashid virtually inaugurated online prisoner’s production system of Mardan Central Jail in pursuance of his vision of utilization of information technology in justice sector, on Tuesday.
The ceremony was held simultaneously in Peshawar High Court, District Courts and Central Prison of Mardan. In the High court the ceremony was attended by honorable judges, Chief Secretary, Inspector General of Police, Additional Advocate General, Home Secretary, Special Secretary Finance, IG Prison, Director General Prosecution and Principal Officers of PHC along with other distinguished guests.
The Chief Justice while highlighting importance of online prisoner production system shall ensure safety of judges, prisoners and police officials,
Furthermore, it would cost effective to the exchequer and would start a new realm of extension of the video link with other justice sector institutions and departments. Peshawar High Court hopes that the Provincial Government will take concrete and practical steps for establishment of video linkages in all courts and prisons of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
