Euro 2020 will not place Heineken bottle for Muslim players

LONDON (Agencies): Euro 2020 officials have decided that they will no longer place bottles of Heineken in front of Muslim players after Paul Pogba removed one during the press conference last week.
The France and Manchester United midfielder, who is a devout Muslim, removed a bottle of Heineken beer that had been placed in front of him as he conducted his post-match press conference following France’s 1-0 win against Germany during the group stages, a day after Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo moved aside Coca-Cola bottles in a similar set-up.
According to The Telegraph, teams, managers and players will be granted the freedom to choose beforehand if they object the placement of the Heineken bottle on the table on religious grounds.
