PESHAWAR: Former provincial minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shaukat Yousafzai challenged his offloading from airplane in Bacha Khan International Airport as well as stopping him from going aboard at Peshawar High Court (PHC).

The writ filed Syed Sikandar Hayat Shah advocate pleaded the petitioner was elected as Member Provincial Assembly Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from 2013-18 and served as Provincial Minister but he stopped from going for Ummrah to Saudi Arabia at 9.o clock at Bacha Khan International Airport.

The petitioner is neither enlisted on Exit Control List nor Stop List but former provincial minister was uploaded illegally, the writ stated. Immigration and Passport department issued boarding pass to petitioner after clearance but still returned from plan unlawfully, the petition argued.

The local administration seized vehicle of former provincial minister despite his daughter is ill and added that the act had created hurdles for petitioner’s child in going to school, the writ added. The petitioner is neither involved in anti-state activities nor any case is registered against him but he is didn’t allowed for going aboard, the petition pleaded.

Federal’s government, Directors Federal Investigation Agency Islamabad and Peshawar, both Directors Immigration and Passports Islamabad and Peshawar have been made respondents in the writ plea. The writ pleaded to declare the uploading from airplane is illegal and allow petitioner for performing Ummrah in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, PTI’s former parliamentarian Mujahid Khan approached PHC seeking record of cases registered against him as a legal right. The petitioner had obtained interim bails in three inquires but arrested another case after his appearance in Anti-Corruption Establishment, the writ argued. FIA, provincial’s government, National Accountability Bureau and Anti-corruption Establishment were made respondents in the case.
