‘Expelled’ leaders of JUI-F inaugurate office

ZHOB: Expelled from Jamiat-i-Ulema Islam (JUI-F), former chairman of Council of the Islamic Ideology (CII) Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani, Maulana Shuja-ul-Mulk, Maulana Abdul Waheed Marwat, Maulana Siraj-ud-Din, Qazi Ahmed Khosti, Dr. Shahab-ud-Din and Qari Muhibullah while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the JUI-Pakistan rabita (coordination) office in Zhob said that JUI-F chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman himself was a selected Ameer and has always been engaged in the politics to gain his personal interests.

The speakers said that Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman has no spirit of selflessness. He has always pursued a policy of vested interests through the establishment. “After the death of Maulana Mufti Mehmood, the election for the central Ameer held in Khanpur, the ‘selection’ of Maulana Fazlur Rehman at that time also caused dissension in the party. But Maulana remained be seated on his position,” they alleged.

They said that Israel was a sovereign state; the issue was not to recognize Israel but the Palestine conflict matters. Palestine currently has neither its own passport nor currency. When Palestinian leader Yasir Arafat visited Pakistan to address a joint session of the parliament, it was opposed, but no one termed it wrong. “JUI-Pakistan will be organized at the country, province, district and tehsil level and everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression,” they said, adding JUI-P will participate in the upcoming general and local body elections, they vowed.

Meanwhile, Syed Ali Shah Hariphal, ex-councilor Noor Muhammad and others quit various political parties and joined Jamiat-e-Ulema Pakistan. It is to be mentioned that the senior leadership of JUI-F kicked out four party leaders including Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani over his controversial statement, as he called Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman himself a ‘selected’. The disgruntled leader Maulana Sherani is of the view that Pakistan should recognize Israel, because recognition of Israel is not an issue related to Islam but it is political and international issue. Last year during the Covid-19 pandemic rapid dissemination, Maulana Sherani had commented that coronavirus was not a disease but part of the New World Order propaganda that triggered questions and criticism.
