KABUL: Afghan Ministry of Defense (MoD) confirmed that at least five persons were injured after a helicopter crashed on Sunday afternoon in Kabul.
Ministry of Defense spokesman Gen. Dawlat Waziri said that at least five foreign citizens were injured in the helicopter crash incident.
He added that the helicopter crashed shortly after the take off from a military academy in Kabul slightly wounding five foreigners and adding that the injured were in stable condition.
Gen. Waziri also added that the helicopter has likely crashed due to an accident but did not elaborate further in this regard.
In the meantime, reports indicate that the helicopter belonged to a private firm which has been contracted for the works of the military academy in Kabul.
