Four killed in road accident

PAKTIA (Khaama Press): In a road accident in the eastern Paktia province, at least four people were killed, and ten others were injured.
According to provincial administration spokesperson Monib Zadran, the incident occurred Tuesday evening in the Halim Kala close to the west of the provincial capital, Gardez City, when a car overturned due to technical issues, killing four people, including two women and injuring ten others.
A similar incident occurred in the province; two people were killed, and four others were injured.
Recently, there has been an increase in incidents instances in the country.
The World Health Organization estimates that 6,033 people died in road accidents in Afghanistan in 2020, accounting for 2.6% of all fatalities. As a result, the country stands in terms of accidents spot, at number 76 globally.
The officials said that hundreds of individuals die yearly due to reckless driving, congested roads, inadequately constructed roadways, lack of rule of law, and poorly maintained vehicles.
