Four year old spotted deer at Peshawar Zoo die

PESHAWAR: A four-year old spotted deer died mysteriously at the recently inaugurated Peshawar Zoo on Thursday.

Syed Muhammad Ali director of Peshawar Zoo said that the reason behind the death of the deer could not be clear.

He further added that the spotted deer and other animals were imported from foreign. He said and blame that the contractor was responsible for the death of precious deer.

It merits mention here that the zoo was inaugurated last month at Rahatabad locality of Peshawar by Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on a 29-acres plot.

Some days before The Frontier Post published story on the dilapidated condition of the zoo and people were teasing and harass the animals and throwing stone over them while the administration of the zoo were silent.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Islam Zaib visit Peshawar Zoo along with other high officials of district administration.

Director Syed Muhammad Ali give presentation to DC on Zoo and the facilities they were providing to the animals.

Deputy Commissioner Islam Zaib Khan directed the authority to provide all facility to the tourist.
