Gov’t to increase monthly ‘salaries’ of teachers

KABUL (Khaama Press): Presidential Palace said Tuesday, that the government will review the (NTA) payroll system and an allocated reformed budget to increase the salaries of security force members and teachers.

President Ghani in an order instructed his First Vice President, Amrullah Saleh, to reconsider all NTA-based salaries, and the amount of earned money from the reformation should be added up to the monthly incomes of teachers and security forces. According to Arg, President Ghani also tasked officials at Finance Ministry to review the 30 percent documents of those individuals who were hired in violation of the NTA bill.

Earlier, the Afghan parliament rejected the draft budget for the 1400 fiscal year for the second time, one of the reasons was the faulty allocation of government employees’ salaries. House of the representatives demanded equalization of government worker’s monthly income.

The parliament emphasizes that government employees should have equal privileges according to their job payment scale and that the unfair paying system which currently is practiced, should be abolished.
