F.P. Report

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shaukat Ali Yousufzai said that research and development coupled with modern technology are essential for uplift and the government has been taken concrete measures for promotion of research culture.

He expressed his views while addressing 4th Abasin International Conference on Technology and Business Management at Abasin University as a chief guest. Dr. Razq Yaqub from Alabama University America, Chancellor of Abasin University Peshawar, Imran ullah, VC Abasin University Dr. Umar Farooq, and teachers and students of various universities attended the conference.

Shaukat Yousufzai said that corrupt rulers did nothing to promote research and technology forcing people to go abroad for acquiring knowledge and seeking jobs. There is no dearth of talent in our country, but the corrupt rulers have never thought of it and left the government with 30,000 billion rupees debt, he said.

Unfortunately, former rulers did corruption rather than improving research culture he said adding leadership of PPP and PML-N filled their Swiss bank accounts from public looted money that resulted in increased inflation ratio. The accountability of corrupt rulers would not be stopped and they would be accountable before for their misdeeds.

Shaukat said that Prime Minister Imran Khan made accurate and tough decisions to solve problems of the country adding government is returning seven billion per day in interest. Despite acquiring such huge loan, PPP and PML-N left state institutions with huge losses including Sui gas with Rs.154 billion losses , WAPDA with 1250 billion rupees and PIA with 375 billion rupees. Karachi Steel Mill is also under huge loss but personal sugar mills and steel mills of PPP and PML-N leaders are growing continuously.
