Injustice in NAB is unprecedent, says Shahid Khaqan Abbasi

F.P. Report

KARACHI : Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi suggested the closure of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) claiming the institution is being used for political engineering.

Talking to media in Karachi after attending the accountability court on Tuesday, he said that the bureau is meddling in the politics which is not a good omen. He said justice was not being delivered and nobody is ready to focus this aspect. The injustice at the NAB is unprecedent in the judicial history, he said adding the bureau had paralyzed the country.

He said it has been five years since his case is under trail and he is attending the proceedings but noting is being done, only dates are being given. The former premier suggested installation of the surveillance cameras in the courts so that masses can observe what is being done here.

Many judges were transferred from these courts but his case is pending, Mr Abbasi said.

The former premier demanded that the bureau should be abolished.
