PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa General Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami for Minorities Wing, Javid Gill on Sunday urged the provincial government to increase the job quota of minorities from three to five per cent like federal government.

Issuing a news statement from Peshawar, JI General Secretary of Minorities Wing, Javid Gill, clearly said that the central government had earlier increased the quota but unfortunately the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is yet to make increase in employment quota for minorities which is a matter of great concern.

The provincial government has disappointed youth of minorities by not increasing the job quota and it has created a situation of sense of deprivation among them, he said and adding it is the need of hour that government instantly announce increase in it. Expressing grave concern over delay in this regard, JI General Secretary for Minorities Wing, stated that if KP government takes the initiative, it will not only encourage youth of minorities but will also provide them jobs opportunities.

He informed that a large number of graduates from minorities are wondering here and there to find jobs but because of three per cent quota, they hardly get employment in government departments. Mr Gill demanded of the PTI led coalition government to increase the quota from three to five per cent to end the sense of deprivations of minorities.
