LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Wednesday approved protective bail for Bushra Bibi, wife of former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan, in connection with a case registered at Islamabad’s Kohisar Police Station amid fears that she might be arrested before hearing of his plea.
LHC’s Justice Muhammad Amjad Rafiq took up the bail plea filed by Bushra Bibi earlier in the day on Wednesday.
The former first lady appeared in the court herself to plead her case.
The court granted her protective bail until June 21.
A heavy contingent of police was deployed outside the courtroom triggering fears that Bushra Bibi might be arrested before the hearing.
