LANDI KOTAL: The shopkeepers of Landi kotal bazaar blamed the Khasadar troops, posted at Bagyari check post of Jamrud Tehsil for collecting money on merchandise goods from Peshawar to Landi Kotal on pretext of agency tax beside of its abolishing order from the authorities last week.
President Anjuman-e-Tajeran Landi Kotal Bazaar Haji Lal Rahim flanked by his cabinet members while addressing to a press conference said that beside clear notification of the governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of elimination of permit that had been utilized for taking trading commodities from settle area to the tribal region, the Khasadar troops at Bagyari check post still teased them for not producing of the permit and collected illicit money from the traders on the plea.
He maintained that earlier, the administration had an excused that the goods might be smuggled to Afghanistan via Torkham border but with imposition of restrictions at the border, asking for producing of rahdari or Agency permit while taking trading goods to their shops was a injustice to them. They demanded of the authorities concerned to have mercy on them and direct the Khasadar force not to disgrace the local trading community on pretext of permit that had been already put an end.
