ISLAMABAD: Pakistan reported 3,338 new coronavirus cases along with 38 virus-related deaths during the last 24 hours (Sunday), showed the data released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Monday morning.
According to the statistics released by NCOC, after the addition of 38 new deaths, the toll has now surged to 29,516, which represents a ratio of 2.0 percent.
The positivity ratio of the coronavirus cases in Pakistan reaches 7.45 percent, as 3,338 new coronavirus cases emerged in the last 24 hours after conducting 44,779 tests. It takes the total cases tally to 1,463,111.

There were 4,905 more recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours as the number of total recovered cases reached 1,344,403 with a 91.9% recovery rate.
Punjab, the most populous province of the country, has reported 1,052 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking the provincial tally to 489,655 with 16,153 active cases. In Punjab, 10 more patients died of coronavirus as the death toll reached 13,252. With 1,922 new recoveries reported, 460,250 patients have recovered from the virus in Punjab so far.
Sindh has recorded 863 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 552,262 with 43,904 active cases. There were 14 new deaths reported related to the deadly disease as the death toll in Sindh reached 7,905. With 581 new recoveries, 500,453 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 920 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 203,110 with 13,688 active cases. The province reported 12 new virus-related death as the death toll reached 6,053. With 990 new recoveries, 183,369 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Balochistan recorded 34 new cases as the tally reached 34,819 with 437 active cases. The province reported no new death as the death toll reached 368. With 55 new recoveries, 34,014 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Islamabad has recorded 291 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 131,628 with 11,893 active cases. With 2 new deaths reported in the Federal Capital, the death toll reached 988. With 1,066 recoveries, the number of recovered patients is 118,747 in the federal capital so far.
Azad Jammu and Kashmir
Azad Jammu and Kashmir recorded 173 new cases during the last 24 hours as the tally reached 40,741 with 2,795 active cases. With no new death reported, the death toll remained 761. There were 275 new recoveries in the AJK as 37,185 patients have recovered so far from the virus.
Gilgit-Baltistan recorded 5 new cases during the last 24 hours, as the tally reached 10,896 with 322 active cases. With no new death reported in the province, the death toll remains at 189. With 16 new patients recovered, the number of patients recovered from the deadly disease reached 10,385.
