ISLAMABAD: Pakistan reported 186 new coronavirus cases along with 1 virus-related death during the last 24 hours (Sunday), showed the data released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Monday morning.
According to the statistics released by NCOC, after the addition of 1 new death, the toll has now surged to 30,346, which represents a ratio of 2.0 percent.
The positivity ratio of the coronavirus cases in Pakistan reaches 0.66 percent, as 186 new coronavirus cases emerged in the last 24 hours after conducting 28,159 tests. It takes the total cases tally to 1,524,086.
The number of active cases in the country is 8,314 with 420 patients in critical condition.
There were 110 more recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours as the number of total recovered cases reached 1,485,426 with a 97.5% recovery rate.
Punjab
Punjab, the most populous province of the country, has reported 53 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking the provincial tally to 504,894 with 941 active cases. In Punjab, 1 more patient died of coronavirus as the death toll reached 13,552. With 77 new recoveries reported, 490,401 patients have recovered from the virus in Punjab so far.
Sindh
Sindh has recorded 73 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 574,803 with 6,531 active cases. There was no new death reported related to the deadly disease as the death toll in Sindh remained 8,095. With no new recovery reported, 560,177 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 39 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 218,937 with 619 active cases. The province reported no new virus-related death as the death toll remained 6,315. With 6 new recoveries, 212,003 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Balochistan
Balochistan recorded no new case as the tally reached 35,469 with 11 active cases. The province reported no new death as the death toll remained 378. With 1 new recovery, 35,080 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Islamabad
Islamabad has recorded 15 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 135,038 with 132 active cases. With no new death reported in the Federal Capital, the death toll reached 1,023. With 22 new recoveries, the number of recovered patients is 133,883 in the federal capital so far.
Azad Jammu and Kashmir
Azad Jammu and Kashmir recorded 5 new cases during the last 24 hours as the tally reached 43,249 with 28 active cases. With no new deaths reported, the death toll remained 792. There were 3 new recoveries in the AJK as 42,429 patients have recovered so far from the virus.
Gilgit-Baltistan
Gilgit-Baltistan recorded 1 new case during the last 24 hours, as the tally reached 11,696 with 52 active cases. With no new death reported in the province, the death toll remains at 191. With no recovery, the number of patients recovered from the deadly disease reached 11,453.
