ISLAMABAD: Pakistan reported 303 new coronavirus cases along with 2 virus-related deaths during the last 24 hours (Sunday), showed the data released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Monday morning.
According to the statistics released by NCOC, after the addition of 2 new deaths, the toll has now surged to 30,331, which represents a ratio of 2.0 percent.
The positivity ratio of the coronavirus cases in Pakistan reaches 1.00 percent, as 756 new coronavirus cases emerged in the last 24 hours after conducting 30,300 tests. It takes the total cases tally to 1,522,191.
The number of active cases in the country is 15,740 with 493 patients in critical condition.
There were 361 more recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours as the number of total recovered cases reached 1,476,120 with a 97% recovery rate.
Punjab
Punjab, the most populous province of the country, has reported 49 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking the provincial tally to 504,442 with 2,628 active cases. In Punjab, 2 more patients died of coronavirus as the death toll reached 13,550. With 150 new recoveries reported, 488,264 patients have recovered from the virus in Punjab so far.
Sindh
Sindh has recorded 174 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 573,753 with 11,817 active cases. There was no new death reported related to the deadly disease as the death toll in Sindh remained 8,091. With no new recovery reported, 553,845 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 60 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 218,689 with 971 active cases. The province reported no new virus-related death as the death toll remained 6,307. With 100 new recoveries, 211,411 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Balochistan
Balochistan recorded no new cases as the tally reached 35,458 with 31 active cases. The province reported no new death as the death toll remained 378. With 4 new recoveries, 35,059 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Islamabad
Islamabad has recorded 12 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 134,963 with 218 active cases. With no new death reported in the Federal Capital, the death toll reached 1,022. With 31 new recoveries, the number of recovered patients is 133,723 in the federal capital so far.
Azad Jammu and Kashmir
Azad Jammu and Kashmir recorded 6 new cases during the last 24 hours as the tally reached 43,220 with 38 active cases. With no new deaths reported, the death toll remained 792. There were 6 new recoveries in the AJK as 42,390 patients have recovered so far from the virus.
Gilgit-Baltistan
Gilgit-Baltistan recorded 2 new cases during the last 24 hours, as the tally reached 11,666 with 47 active cases. With no new death reported in the province, the death toll remains at 191. With 25 new patients recovered, the number of patients recovered from the deadly disease reached 11,428.
