PESHAWAR: Provincial Cabinet of PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chapter Thursday passed a unanimous resolution condemning the irrational and illogical tweet of US President, Donald Trump and said that any attempt to discredit Pakistan would not be allowed.
The meeting of the provincial cabinet was presided by KP PML-N Chief and Advisor to Prime Minister, Ameer Muqam while attended by General Secretary PMLN KP and Deputy Speaker National Assembly, Murtaza Javaid Abbassi, Pir Sabir Shah and others.
The resolution rejecting tirade of US President, Provincial Cabinet explicitly expressed solidarity with valiant security forces of Pakistan. It was said that no one would be allowed to target integrity, stature, autonomy and solidarity of the country.
The meeting observed that PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi should take necessary steps keeping in view the aspirations and wishes of nation according to the situation.
Provincial Cabinet also urged political and religious entities of Pakistan to adopt a positive stance sending a clear message to enemies of the country.
The meeting also suggested convening joint session of the parliament to recommend steps needed to project stance of Pakistan in context of Trump statement. The meeting said energies should be focused to reflect feelings of the people rather politicizing sensitive issues of national integrity and solidarity.
Addressing the meeting Ameer Muqam said that Imran Khan should come out of its reverie to become Prime minister of Pakistan. He said that Imran Khan should give up politics of Agitation in wake of Trump statement and work in unison with other political entities to meet the challenges.
The PMLN KP would soon issue white paper against the unbridled massive corruption in KP government.
He alleged that PTI government has infact washed away the evidences of corruption committed in Peshawar beautification plan under the garb of Peshawar Metro Project.
Imran Khan has sided with those who were found guilty of corruption and corrupt practices.
Later talking to media here after the meeting, Amir Muqam called for larger political cohesion and unity among the political leadership of the country against US President’ anti Pakistan tweet.
He said time has come for the politician of the country to get united against the irresponsible and illogical tweet by US president in which he tried to discredit Pakistan’s sacrifices and efforts in war against terror.
He said that entire Pakistani nation stands united against anti state elements and the same was boldly reflected by the civil and military leadership during the National Security Committee meeting.
Islam is citadel of Islam and PMLN would continue to supporting nation’s feeling in the days to come, he said adding that in the wake of changing international scenario, political disability in the country is of prime importance.
He said PMLN would present the agenda of economic self reliance in the upcoming general elections in the country. PMLN is dispensing hope and pleasures to nation while the opponents are out to spread disappointment and dismay.
Muqam said that PMLN under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif would fight historical battle in the coming elections. He asked the opponents to present their performance in which they excelled by staging sit-ins, shutting the business and running the stock exchanges of the country.
Muqam said that those who have wasted five –year in power in KP are accountable to nation and the people would not forgive them what they have done.
He said that PPP co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari’s statement would have made the soul of late Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan restless.
He said PMLN has carries out record development project in KP despite having no mandate. The crushing defeat of the people staging Dharnas (sit-in) was their fate in 2018 elections.
Muqam said the people of Punjab and Sindh were praying for the leadership of Shahbaz Sharif. The entir nation witnessed the revolution of PTI leader Imran Khan by giving ticket to son of Jehangir Tareen for Lodhran bye-poll, he concluded.
