ISLAMABAD: Foreign funding case is under trail in the court since 2014 and PTI leaders blame others to hide their theft in the enterprise. It was shared by PPP leader and Senator Saleem Mandviwalla along with PPP’s Senator Taj Haider and Senator Palwasha Behram Khan during a news conference in Islamabad on Saturday.
According to Mandviwalla, PTI minister Farrukh Habib daily appears on the media with a new story instead of defending foreign funding case of his party. He was of the view that PTI leaders are habitual of blaming others instead of shielding their cases through presentation of evidence of their innocence.
Senator Saleem Mandviwalla accused Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) of submitting fake documents in Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). PTI leader Akbar S Ahmed filed the petition against his own party regarding its involvement in foreign funding, however PTI could not get acquittal in the case so far, added PTI leader.
While talking about recently tabled NAB ordinance Saleem Mandviwalla said that two days prior to the retirement of incumbent Chairman NAB, PTI government brought a new NAB ordinance in a bid to provide relief to a single person.
According to Saleem Mandviwalla, new NAB ordinance has no worth and all political parties have opposed this partisan document except PTI and its collegues. While responding to a media query Saleem Mandviwalla said that NAB has intervened into private businesses and housing societies and inflicted billions of rupees loss to the national exchequer during recent years.
PPP leader announced a rally on Constitution avenue against ever increasing inflation in the country and invited other opposition parties to join PPP’s rally in the larger interest of the public.
Saleem Mandviwalla noted that PTI’s bankers acknowledged that PTI bank accounts had been topped up through foreign funding whereas PPP’s bankers did not level such allegations against the party.
While speaking to the occasion Senator Taj Haider was of the view that corruption is the biggest problem in the country, however government is not serious in eradicating this menace from the society.
Senator Palwasha Behram Khan said that the recent increase in the prices of petroleum products is highly condemnable act of the PTI government. She accused the government of destruction of national institutions and the country’s economy during its tenure.
According to her, PTI government has made the national institutions controversial through its misguided polices and the man (Prime Minister Imran Khan) who had been accusing other for treason must choose the criminal code for his trail in the court.
