F.P. Report

DOHA: Qatar Airways is pleased to announce it has begun incrementally increasing flights to Montréal and will operate daily frequencies by 25 February 2021. The Montréal service is operated by Qatar Airways’ state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 featuring 36 seats in the award-winning Qsuite Business Class and 247 seats in Economy Class.

This news comes on the heels of the announcement of Qatar Airways’ recent codeshare agreement with Air Canada, applicable to flights between Toronto and Doha. The agreement will enable Qatar Airways’ passengers from Pakistan to enjoy seamless, one-stop connections to and from Toronto via Hamad International Airport.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said: “We are delighted to increase our services to Montréal, further enhancing connectivity for our Canadian customers, while offering our passengers traveling to and from North America seamless access to more than 75 destinations in Africa, Asia, India and the Middle East via our multiple award-winning hub, Hamad International Airport.

“We remain committed to serving our customers in Pakistan and have worked hard throughout the pandemic to ensure we can operate as many flights as possible, in line with the directions of the Pakistan government.

The Air Canada codeshare agreement will also increase choices and make it easier for our passengers travelling from Pakistan to connect to Canada via the Best Airport in the Middle East, Hamad International Airport.”

To ensure a safe travel experience, passengers from Pakistan are required take a COVID-19 RT-PCR medical test. Passengers will need to present a negative test result issued within 72 hours prior to departure, when checking in. Children below the age of 12 years are exempted from this test if accompanied by family members.

Qatar Airways has become the first global airline in the world to achieve the prestigious 5-Star COVID-19 Airline Safety Rating by international air transport rating organisation, Skytrax.

It also provides assurance to passengers across the world that airline health and safety standards are subject to the highest possible standards of professional, independent scrutiny and assessment.
