Kidnapping of a girl: Mardan police arrests six suspects

MARDAN: In a significant police operation six suspects were apprehended for attempting to abduct a young girl from her home under the guise of marriage.

The girl safeguarded by the police authorities and has been safely reunited with her parents while the seized weapon used in the abduction attempt has been recovered.

According to reports, District Mardan Thana Sarho Shah police received information regarding the forcible abduction of a girl identified as Shama from her residence by the suspects wielding weapons. District Police Chief Najib ur Rahman promptly took notice of the incident and issued order the arrest of the involved suspects and issued directives for the safe recovery of the abducted girl.

Under the supervision of SP President Division Khalid Khan, DSP Ashiq Hussain, and Investigating Officer Muhammad Azam Khan, a specialized police team was formed to tackle the situation. The dedicated team worked tirelessly day and night tracking down each suspect and swiftly executing their plan to rescue the abducted girl and hand her back to her parents.

The apprehended suspects including the central suspect Shakir from Gaddi Usmani Khel, Aqib Javaid, Sohail Ahmed from Shah Dhand Lond Khwarh, Islam Bacha from Bismillah Colony, Yunus and her wife from Tehsildar Kalay Takht Bhai were apprehended under the jurisdiction of Thana Takhtbhai. During their arrest three pistols used in the abduction were also confiscated. Further investigation into the arrested suspects is underway to uncover any additional information related to the case.
