KABUL (TOLOnews): Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai said that the foreign drones, which are “not only from America,” but also from “neighboring countries” fly in Afghan airspace.
Addressing a gathering of Ashura mourners in the Dasht-e-Barchi area of Kabul, he said that there are problems that exist ahead, particularly in education, the economy, politics and security. “You see that still even now foreign drones move in our airspace. These drones are not only from America, there are drones from our neighboring countries as well that fly here,” Stanekzai said. “But we do not yet have the capacity to prevent this. This is because nothing has been left for us. We can prevent it when we join hands together and make our country technically and defensively (strong), so no one can violate our airspace and territorial integrity.”
He also expressed his hope that the gates of “schools will be opened without discrimination for all Afghans.”
“There are problems in every area. You also don’t expect a home that has been damaged for the past 40 years can be reconstructed in 20 days or two years,” he said. “I hope the door of the schools will be reopened for all Afghans without any discrimination. There are some arguments. We know the society. If you go to the villages you will find five people agree with the (reopening) of the schools and two people are against it,” he added. Abdul Qahar Balkhi tweeted that in the meeting ending sanctions and blacklists, releasing Afghanistan’s bank reserves, and stopping violations of Afghanistan’s airspace will be discussed.
