Transparency in PM relief package demanded

PESHAWAR: The Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) Chairman, Muhammad Faiq Shah has demanded the transparency in relief package for construction industry announced by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Chairing a meeting of the party’s office bearers and workers via a video link here on Saturday, Faiq Shah said the tax exemption and giving status of industry to construction sector is high appreciable.

He stressed that all investors attached with construction industry should take on board for effective implementation of the PM relief package for the sector, which would increase trust level.

He asked the government to devise strategy for agriculture and other investment as well.

The ATP chairman said while commenting on the government relief package for construction industry said if the difference between work and deed of Prime Minister Imran Khan will end than the package can be beneficial for investment and development of the country.

He termed the relief package for construction is wise and best decision under the prevalent scenario.

“We have already given comprehensive and workable recommendations/roadmap to Prime Minister for further boosting trade, investment and relief for business community, if the government would implement them with true letter and spirit then it will not only generate more employment opportunities, but it will also give relief to poor segment of the society and open new chapter of development, prosperity and progress in the country, ATP chief said.

Faiq Shah noticed that people are being faced with hunger, starvation due to growing poverty and emerging situations after outbreak of coronavirus pandemic in the country, as they have compelled for suicide in front of PM house, which is clear reaction of the increasing poverty.

He called upon all institutions to take joint measures to combat with coronavirus effectively and mitigate the sufferings of poor masses.
