ISLAMABAD: The Political Scuffle are getting heightened between the two political rivals PTI government and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) with passing every single day. After, meaning hearing of Shahbaz Sharif case against British Journalist David Rose and the Daily Mail on Friday, the battle between the two adversaries reached at its peak at social media platform twitter and during media conferences in the nation Capital over the weekend.
The fight begun with a tweet by PML-N’s Vice President Maryum Nawaz, who commented that “likely British Judges do not watch the move God father, neither read Novels nor use WhatsApp’s.
The London Court’s decision proved that when the Judiciary will be independent instead of Saqib Nisar, the Imran Khan and his affiliates will be slapped on mouths”. The tweet was instantly replied by the SAPM on Interior and Accountability Shahzad Akbar while commenting that “Someone tell this illiterate that first hearing was meant to define the allegations and it does not mean that Chachu is not thief and whether his acquittal from money laundering is written in the verdict”.
After exchange of hot tweets on Friday, Spokeswoman of PML-N, Maryum Aurangzeb held an urgent news conference in Islamabad on Saturday noon, during this news conference she said that the yesterday hearing of Shahbaz Sharif case was the victory of PML-N stance that David Rose story was based on assumptions without any evidence.
According to her, UK Court ruled out that there was Chase level-1 in Shahbaz Sharif case where the defamation was done without any evidence of the allegation made by the Daily Mail and its reporter David Rose against the PML-N’s President.
Maryum termed the UK Court’s decision as a slap for PTI government. She said that Shahzad Akbar arranged David Rose meeting with detainees in NAB’s prison and harassed them to take their statements according to government’s requirements. She displayed the pictures of David meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan.
She asked the Shahzad Akbar that the court decision was regarding David Rose story, why Shahzad Akbar is in pain about that.
She went on accusing the PTI government for alleged embezzlement in Sugar, wheat, flour, Petroleum, and other commodities through price hikes during PTI rule. She orated forcefully that the Opposition will not extend NRO to government on these thefts, of the incumbent government any cost.
After Maryum Aurangzeb conclusion, SAPM on Interior and Accountability Shahzad Akbar held an urgent news conference in Islamabad within hours on Saturday.
He said that yesterday proceeding at UK Court was meaning hearing to define the defamation perception about the Shahbaz Sharif Case against David Rose and the Daily Mail. It was not decision on the case on which PML-N leadership was beating the drum and distributing the sweets.
The trial of the case will begin in coming days. He displayed the statement of British journalist David Rose about the yesterday court’s hearing and its wrong reporting in some sections of Pakistani media.
In the same go, he responded to the Thursday press conference of Danial Aziz, former MNA PML-N in Islamabad. While responding to Aziz’s threat of potential suit in the court against him on defamation of Danial’s family in coming days, he said that he is open to all kind of suit by Danial Aziz.
He again echoed that about 2330 canals of land had been recovered from Danial Aziz’s family under Supreme court verdict and the subject land is being utilized by the Punjab government for new Campus of University of Sargodha in near future.
