Two terrorists who got training from Syria arrested in Karachi

KARACHI (NNI): Two terror suspects who got training to commit terrorism from Syria were arrested in a joint operation by Counter Terrorism Department and an intelligence agency in Karachi.

According to CTD incharge Khurram Waris, the terror suspects, who were identified as Syed Raza Ahmad and Syed Khurram Ali, got terrorism training in Syria. The suspects belonged to a special squad named “high value target”, he added.

The CTD incharge said the suspects were involved in target killings and they target important personalities after receiving orders from abroad.

The terror suspects had just completed recce of some important personalities and a number of foreigners were also on their hit list, the CTD incharge revealed.

Waris said one of the accused, Syed Raza Ahmad, is a former police official who was dismissed from service in 1994. They received heavy amounts for committing murders, he added.
