Youth asked to avoid dependence on govt jobs

TIMERGARA: Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) leader and MPA Bakht Baidar Khan on Thursday asked youth of his constituency to avoid total dependence on government employment and instead focus on private business.

Speaking at a gathering after inaugurating a private trade center at Gadar Adenzai the QWP lawmakers said the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would play a vital role in business development in the poverty-stricken areas of Pakistan. He said the Chakdara, situated in the center of Malakand division would become a trade hub in near future.

The MPA said that no government could accommodate qualified youth in government jobs. He said the skillful youth should try their fortune in private businesses. The MPA said that people in all districts of Malakand were mainly dependent either on government jobs or earning abroad. He said there had been a proposal to divide Malakand into two divisions and Chakdara would be the head quarter of the new division. About development of the area he said that work on several projects was in progress.

He said the government had released Rs 200 million for construction of Sanam Dam which would be completed with a total cost of Rs 1 billion. The MPA said the Sanam Dam would enhance agriculture, trade and tourism in Adenzai area. The function was also addressed by QWP district president Amanullah Khan and businessman Wasim Khan.
