Islamabad: Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has taken notice of nonpayment of price of sugarcane to farmers by sugar mills.
The notice is taken on applications of different farmers requesting that the sugar mills owners are not paying the price of their cultivation of sugarcane.
Taking notice of the issue Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has directed all sugar mills to provide certificate duly endorsed by CEO of the factory within 10 days that how much quantity of sugarcane has been purchased from farmers and what price of sugarcane was given to them.
The court fixed 24th April for hearing.
