Court bars Imran, Bushra from speaking against state institutions

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: An accountability court in Islamabad has barred former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi from issuing statements against state institutions and their officials.

The court on Thursday also refrained both from even indirectly speaking inside the courtroom against the state institutions and their officials.

Ruling on the PTI founder’s application for fair trial, the court ordered the media to avoid publishing such political provocative statements which target state institutions and their officials.

The court order said there were allegations that the PTI founder gave political, provocative and biased statements against respectable officials of state institutions. Statements regarding judiciary, Pakistan Army and army chief tantamount to disrespect the court decorum, the court order said, adding such remarks also hinder the process for justice provision.
