ISLAMABAD: The Federal Cabinet’s Sub-Committee for Exit Control List has recommended enlisting 41 people including PTI Chairman Imran Khan, AML chief Sheikh Rashid, Omar Ayub and Zulfi Bukhar on the ECL, on Wednesday.
According to sources, Imran Khan’s name was recommended due to the 190 million pounds corruption case.
Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti, Communications and Railways Minister Shahid Ashraf Tarar and a number of other government officers attended the meeting held in Islamabad.
The meeting reviewed different cases relating to the ECL and forwarded 41 recommendations to the government for final approval.
The meeting also advocated delisting 13 people from the ECL. Seven people are being removed from the ECL on the direction of the judiciary.
The committee’s recommendations will be forwarded to the Interim Federal Cabinet for final approval.
