LAKKI MARWAT: A man was killed and his friend sustained bullet wounds in a firing attack in Naurang town, said police on Sunday.
Police said that the shooting incident occurred in the limits of Shaheed Asmatullah Khan Khattak police station. They said that Laal Khan and his friend Arshad Khan were going to Naurang city on a motorcycle when they came under attack near irrigation colony.
Two motorcyclists chased my brother and his friend and sprayed them with bullets near irrigation colony on Bannu-DI Khan road”, they added quoting Naser Khan, the brother of deceased Laal Khan. According to police, the deceased Laal Khan and the attackers belonged to Mammakhel locality of Naurang town.
They said that Laal Khan died instantly while Arshad Khan was seriously wounded. “The body and injured man were taken to the tehsil headquarters hospital”, they maintained.
Police said that a blood feud between the families of killers and deceased led to happening of murder incident on busy road. They said that the killers including Mumtaz and Mashoor escaped the scene while a case was registered against them under relevant section of law.
