‘PDM govt’s show will end in next two weeks’

F.P. Report

RAWALPINDI: Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, the leader of Awami Muslim League and former federal interior minister has stated the ongoing puppet show of Prime Minster Shahbaz Sharif led PDM government would end in next two weeks.

He told on Twitter that approximately two weeks of their term remain but the government is trying male unlawful legislations without any fear. According to him, in a house of 342 members, only 12 legislators have managed to pass more than 100 bills, setting a world record recognized by the Guinness Book.

He pointed out that an assembly session requires a minimum of 86 members, but the lack of respect within the assembly makes it evident that only one speaker is sufficient. He claimed that the rapid passage of 100 bills in the last session was a meticulously planned move.

The former federal minister criticized the bills, alleging that they were filled with disinformation and misinformation, ultimately leading to the restriction of press freedom. He condemned the government’s actions as an attempt to strangle media freedom, symbolizing the “funeral of freedom of the press” held with great fanfare. (INP)
