PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court has directed competent authorities to complete necessary works on Maternity Center at Kohati and on 12 tube wells in constituency NA-31 and operate them.
The two-member bench comprising of Chief Justice PHC Justice Qaiser Rashid and Justice Attique Shah dispose-off writ petition of Awami National Party leader Ghulam Bilour regarding operationalizing of tube wells and health facility in his constituency.
Manager Water and Sanitation Services Company, Additional Advocate Generals Syed Sikandar Hayat Shah& Qaiser Ali and representative of Pak Public Works Department appeared before court.
Manager WSSCP informed PHC that work on one tube well was completed and it was operationalized and works on remaining tube wells are still incomplete.
On informing of WSSP Chief Justice Qaiser Rashid remarked that must complete works on remaining tube wells and operationalize it.
As many as five tube wells are established on private properties and owners are demanding job for operationalizing of tube wells and also informed that PWD has started works but did not completed it.
The counsel for petitioner Mansoor Tariq Advocate informed PHC that work is completed and there is no issue and requested that provincial department shall operationalize it.
The counsel further informed that all tube wells have been established on government properties and graveyard which is also public property.
The two-member bench of PHC directed PWD to provide final report in this regard to WSSCP and also directed to complete work on Rehydration and Maternity Center and hand over to concerned department.
