PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court Bar Association (PHCBA) along with district courts Khyber, Nowshera and Peshawar bar associations observed strike from court’s proceedings over killing of Asadullah Advocate, on Monday.
However, chairman Executive Committee has issued show notices to general secretaries of Kohat and Kurram Bar Associations for observing strike without approval from competent forum while directed to appear before Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council.
The strike has jeopardized court proceedings while clients and petitioners/respondents returned to homes hopelessly while KPBC argued competent authorities to arrest culprit involved in the killing immediately.
PHCBA president Tariq Afridi, general secretary Lajbar Khan, Syed Mubashir Shah, Ishfaq Khalil and Iftikhar Samandar advocates condemned the killing of Asadullah and demanded security of legal fraternity across the country.
