ISLAMABAD: The security forces have completed sanitization and clearance operations in Machh three days after the militant attack, killing 24 terrorists in total.

According to an ISPR statement released in Rawalpindi on Friday, during these three days 24 terrorists in total were eliminated in different actions.

“On the night between 29 and 30 January 2024, terrorists attacked Machh and Kolpur Complexes in Balochistan. Law enforcement agencies deputed on security offered stiff resistance and forced the attackers to repulse. These terrorists were then hunted down in the ensuing sanitization and clearance operations which have now been concluded after clearing and securing the area,” the ISPR said.

During the firefights and sanitization/clearance operations, in last three days, 24 terrorists had been sent to hell, the ISPR said, adding terrorists Shehzad Baloch, Attaullah, Salah Uddin, Abdul Wadood and Zeeshan were key figures among the dead. Identification process of remaining terrorists was in process.

However, during intense exchange of fire, four brave members of law enforcement agencies, having fought gallantly, embraced Shahadat along with two innocent civilians.

Effective response by law enforcement agencies is a testament of their unrelenting resolve in fight against terrorism, the ISPR said and added, Pakistan’s security forces stand shoulder to shoulder with other law enforcement agencies to ensure peace and stability in the country.
