PESHAWAR: Holding a protest demonstration in favor of their demands on Thursday, the office bearers of All Teachers Grand Alliance asked Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to give them protracted timescale and up-gradation forthwith.
However, the protestors while holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans against provincial government. They chanted full throats slogans in favor of their demands and stressed the KP government to instantly resolve their delayed issue.
The provincial government is lingering the timescale and up-gradation for the last three years and it did not take any concrete step in this regard to accept their fair demands, said Samiullah Khalil provincial chairman of All Teachers Grand Alliance while speaking to demonstrators outside the Peshawar press club.
He came hard on KP government for its failure and negligence to pay heed to their demands and saying the employees of several departments have been upgraded but unfortunately they are denied this right. Provincial Chairman also urged the government to restore their previous four point service structure formula for all teachers.
All the male and female teachers, subject specialists, headmasters and principals have today recorded their protest and adding they will also hold mass protest in coming time if their demands were not accepted. Regarding their future line of action, they warned if their demands were not addressed within few days they will boycott classes and on 10 February and will encircle Imran Khan’s Bani Gal residence in Islamabad to stage sit-in there till accepting their demands.
